After two decades in the restaurant industry I decided to embrace a new challenge and transition into the world of finance. Upon completion of the Conestoga College Accounting program, I transferred into the Accounting, Audit, and IT degree program completing both with distinction. Continuing my education I completed a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation. My years in hospitality gained skills in payroll, tax remittance, inventory, budgets, and costing, combined with those gained over multiple tax seasons with Fox Financial. I followed this up as a staff accountant with Valeriote Accounting in Guelph, gaining insight to year ends, HST remittance, corporate payroll and tax filing, bookkeeping, and full cycle accounting with financial statement preparation. My journey has been driven by a passion for accounting, and I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to make a meaningful impact in this new chapter of my professional life.
